About Bryan Jeffries

3rd GenerationThank you so much for taking the time to view my website and learn a little about my campaign for Phoenix City Council District 2.

As a fourth generation Phoenician, my family has been here since 1920. My Grandmother and parents and many other relatives all have remained here in Phoenix, so I have deep roots in this community.

Bryan-LynnMy incredible wife Lynn (also a native Phoenician) and I met in middle school; however school borders meant we would attend different High Schools. Despite different Schools we reconnected and became High School Sweethearts. After High School, Lynn and I married and have remained so for 19 years. Lynn attended Paradise Valley and I Horizon and we still enjoy ribbing one another about our High School rivalry.

I became one of the very first generation students to attend Paradise Valley Community College. While attending PVCC, Lynn's dad encouraged me to become a Firefighter. I immediately became passionate about serving, so I transferred from PVCC to Phoenix College to attain an Associate's degree in Fire Science. I went on to achieve a Bachelor's degree from George Washington University and a Master's degree from the University of Baltimore. I have devoted my career to community service and am very proud to be a Captain and Paramedic for the Mesa Fire Department.

While I love to serve as an emergency responder in Mesa, Lynn and I have never left our northeast Phoenix roots because it is home. I love Phoenix and I care deeply about this City continuing as a thriving place where the neighbors, visitors and business owners can live, work, raise families and play. I have served our City in a variety of capacities such as the Paradise Valley Village Planning Committee, the Neighborhood Block watch Grant Oversight Committee and the Phoenix Planning Commission.

On Thursday, May 5th I was sworn in as interim City Council Member for Phoenix District 2. This is such a high honor for me to be able to serve the neighbors and businesses of this great area.

One of my favorite things about this City and especially District 2 is the vast amount of open space, which is integrated and woven throughout our community. It is so important for people to be able to balance our lives with nature and one of the most amazing natural environments in the world is right here in our Sonoran desert.

Thank you again so much for taking a few moments to learn about me and my campaign. I am truly excited about the future of Phoenix and I hope you will share in helping move our world class City forward.

Very Sincerely,
